Pickler, who was born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June of 1986, experienced an unhappy childhood. The mother she had left when she was only two in order to get out of an abusive relationship. Her mother returned in 1995 to her life and took full charge of the child. But it wasn't the best experience. Pickler went back to her grandparents when she turned 12 years old. They helped her through to adulthood. Pickler was too busy raising her young children in absence of parents. Pickler admitted that she no longer had time to study and started learning how to become a housekeeper from a very young age.
