Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as seen by flashback), her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's initial TV roles. Her parents, however, did not permit her to perform until she was an adult due to the negative effects that stress could have on their daughter. Perry acknowledged that she was not confident in her acting during high school, but started performing as a means to connect with new people in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry left for New York, where she landed small roles in series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Homesickness then led Perry home to California which was where theatre jobs were in demand. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom in 2013 on Broadway in 2013 In the year 2015, she was alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning Drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry played nine roles in The Family, an ABC film The Family, in 2016. Her father portrayed her in The ABC drama Scandal. In addition, she played her younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, which is a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. Despite her family link to the character she received the role through an audition.
