Forbes magazine named Addison Rae as the top TikToker around the globe in August 2020. It is also among the most followed people on TikTok. Addison Rae, in addition to being a popular user on TikTok is popular in the social media world of Instagram YouTube and Twitter. The first single she released, Obsessed, was released in 2021. The song peaked at the top 4 spot on New Zealand Hot Singles Chart and was the sixth being watched YouTube video on the same day of its release. Addison Rae has also received nominations at prestigious ceremonies including People's Choice Awards MTV Movie & TV Awards and Kids' Choice Awards.
